First let me tell you that you definitely need a good sized heat sink! The LED will self destruct in short order without one. I used a piece of aluminum heat sink stock from an old power supply to keep the temperature at a reasonable level. I drilled and tapped a 1/4-20 hole in the heat sink to mount the LED to a tripod so I can use it for photography. Works perfect!

Nice COB LED lights, very bright! The only bad thing about them is that there is no smoothing capacitor on the board, so the light flickers with the 50 Hz of AC. This makes it unusable for rotating machine lighting in the workshop, but they are OK for external lighting.
