This is an extremely powerful torch for its size and is a great product. I am using a 26650 Li-ion 5000mAh 3.7v battery, which brings the overall weight in at 383 grams. The torch came well packaged with clear and reasonably detailed instructions. It feels quite balanced in your hand when you are using it. The torch also comes with some adaptors in the battery compartment to suit different size batteries you might be using. I have the largest battery that will fit so did not need to use the adaptor. It will also take 18650 and 21700 3.7v batteries. Out of the box the torch is easy to use. Click once to turn it on and then you can click and hold the button to adjust the brightness. The first time you click and hold it will increase in brightness until you release the button. The second time it will decrease. There are a number of different modes that you can put this torch into including Strobe modes – Ramping modes – Utility modes and Muggle mode to name a few. Some of the strobe modes seem a bit gimmicky to me, like Lightning mode that simulates lightning strikes during a storm (don’t know when I would want to use this mode). It does have a Bike Flasher mode that will run at a medium level and then flash at a brighter level every second. With the power and brightness of this torch you will be able to be seen from a long way away. One of the more useful features is the Utility mode. This allows you to check the battery voltage and temperature using the light on the torch. In Voltage mode the light will blink to show the current state of the battery. The light blinks the whole number first and then a short pause before it blinks the tenths of volts next. It does have low voltage protection and high temperature protection built into the torch as well. This is a very good product with a very powerful beam of light. It does have some features that I think are gimmicky and wont be used, but overall it is a great torch and great value.
