Nice and powerful power unit. In my case to setup a bunch of external hard drives. Since USB is powering up and down a disk when needed it is not always using the 1.5 to 2 amps as specified. Connected all 7 external drives to a single 12v 5amp power unit. It works great and reduces all 7 separate power units to only one and also just 1 socket at my desk.
