I'm using it with Arduino and works great. You have to install a specific library, there are some available but I'm using this one: https://github.com/renatoaloi/Enc28CoreLib it modifies the standard Ethernet lib and takes advantage from some chip's features. It's not plug-and-play like the W5100 shield but the extra work is worth the economy!
