It is very bright and casts useful light at well under 500 mA on a current limited 12V supply. I am happy to recommend it.

Good LED's for lighting my workbench. Nice size, high brightness. Easy to keep cool because of the aluminium substrate. I run them at 11V to get less heat and longer life. Still plenty of light!
