Actually a great product! Silently kills gnats. In a room where we might only see 3 or 4 a day, overnight it killed about a dozen. This was on Fungus Gnats. Drain Flies don't seem to be attracted to the UV light, so it had no effect on them. Don't even consider this for mosquitos! Mosquitos are NOT attracted to UV light. There is nothing here to attract mosquitos, except for possibly the smallest amount of heat. With outdoor UV traps, people add Octenol cartridges to attract mosquitos. Octenol is not recommended at all for indoor use. Can't tell you how it works on house flies, as it's too cold out for them to be around. For the price, I would definitely give this a try. It works well, is silent, and unlike outdoor zappers, there's NO smell of electrocuted bugs.
