wifiguy This product page is very poor. TWO of the option choices include the crimper, and TWO of the choices do not. Click on all 4 options to understand which includes the crimpers.

wifiguy If you look closely you can see that the lights are in clusters of 3 LEDs and a resistor repeated several times, and there's a pair of traces that run the whole length of the strip. The light is supplied with connections on just one end, but with care you might be able to solder leads to the other end as well, then you could connect them together. This shouldn't be a problem if your source of 12v (like a car battery) has enough current available.

wifiguy It's dimmable with a 12v PWM-type dimmer.

wifiguy This isn't a long-distance system, it is mainly for short distance and stereo soundfield. For picking up one specfic sound at a distance, you need a mic that's very directional like a shotgun mic or a parabolic mic. Or, even better - do like the professionals and put a wireliss mic pack on the referee and the receiver on the sidelines.

wifiguy The brass thread adaptor is to standard thread (5/8"-27) for most mic clips. The inner thread is apparently 3/8" or so; I don't know what that would fit unless it's sort of a Euro standard. This pole is for microphones, so i would say the limit is what you can hold ;-). A mic in a blimp with a fuzzy is maybe half a kilo. It might also be ok to hold a small light. Nothing more.
