will I never measured it with an oscilloscope or anything like that but I've used these for basic led strip lights drawing 3A at 5v bucked from 12v and I also boosted 5v to 12v at 2A. There was no voltage dips at that point (there is an alright smoothing capacitor on the output). I wouldn't push the much farther than that to power high drain LEDs because they got very hot how I used them. Youd want a heatsink on the regulator or maybe even a fan. At that point your better off just using a more well suited power supply I reckon.

Profic245 Hi, you say the circuit output voltage is 12V? So that means multiple 3W LEDs should be connected in series, or a single one via resistor to drop the voltage around 3.5V for a single LED?
