kezbaroo Thisunit does NOT display amps as it is a very basic unit and displays voltage only.

plut I guess your welder is broken, this should not happen if you just turn it on. Have you tried to disassemble it and look inside?

plut I don't recommend it. If you connect panels and battery directly it will kill the whole purpose of the controller...

plut No clamps and no power plug in there. Probably the best idea is to buy it locally.

plut If you want to use the clamp for current measurement - the only thing you can measure with this tool is AC (alternating current). You can't measure DC ( direct current) with it. This should be written with big letters somewhere in the description... There are clamps that can measure both DC and AC, but they cost about twice more than this multimeter.
