BG163416545 Ithink the issue is the sides of the chisel. If they are not square to the edge then when registering to the side clamps the edge will be off.

This honing guide is well made, as far as finish and materials, however, even with perfectly flat backed chisels, bevel angles are completely askew from 90 degree planes.

BG163416545 I'vehad this happen but if I removed the screw and pulled hard enough they came apart. Might be something they do for shipping

The two jaws, which are evidently cut from the same billet of aluminum, were not separated during manufacture, so the blade holder itself is useless. Second, there was no angle jig in the package. Very disappointed in my first purchase with Banggood. I've put in a request for a replacement.
