Using the doorbell on batteries only is inconvenient. Although they last few or more months, depending on various settings used, once they get drained you have to remove them for charging. This takes several hours unless you keep an extra three batteries fully charged to replace them instantly, otherwise the door bell cannot be used during the time that the batteries are being charged. The solution is to buy a compatible charger and connect it directly to the doorbell, therefore you do not need to remove the batteries because they will be automatically on charge all the way.
