I was unlucky to retrieve 5 Nano boards from a bad quality batch. When uploading a sketch I am getting an error "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync" under Arduino IDE on Linux. After hours of debugging I found out that these boards contain the older CH340B chip instead of a CH340G chip found on previously ordered Nano boards from Banggood. See the attached picture. I did find a workaround for Linux though: * Download CH341SER_LINUX.ZIP from http://www.wch.cn/download/CH341SER_LINUX_ZIP.html * unzip ~/Downloads/CH341SER_LINUX.ZIP * cd CH341SER_LINUX * make * sudo make load * unplug Nano board * rmmod ch341 * echo blacklist ch341 | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ch341.conf * plug arduino * make sure ch34x driver is used instead of ch341 driver by running dmesg * start Arduino IDE * select " Arduino Duemilanove or Diecimila board" instead of "Arduino Nano" * upload sketch This all makes this board very developer unfriendly. I am regretting this purchase.
