When i connected the power cable of the soldering iron, the led started to flicker and stopped after a short time. But the soldering iron did not heat up enough to melt solder, regardless of the position of the regulator. not even after half an hour. I have tried selveral days with no success Then I removed the electronics and connected the heating element directly to the power cable That worked during 2 solder jobs and now the heating element has failed.
