Works well. Need programming cable to properly configure the channel layout for repeater usage with encryption enabled. Battery holds charge for up to 18 hours with active use. Over 24 hours active standby. Be aware that Nagoya NA-series antennas for Baofeng UV5-series will not fit due to recessed antenna socket. If you ream the plastic surrounding the edge the Nagoya NA-701 fits with o-ring installed. Range is normal for this radio with stock antenna. My repeater is 5km away on 400m high tower, and there are no problems with the communication. At 8km away the squelch does not react to the repeater tone fast enough. At 10km I can transmit, but not receive from the repeater. For the price it seems like a good unit, but still is not outperforming my Baofeng UV5R radios from 2014.
